We understand that men experience domestic abuse and know that one in six men will be a victim of domestic abuse in their lifetime.

We know that male victims of domestic abuse will have very specific support needs and have spent the last 18 months providing focussed services for male victims and spent time trying to understand the barrier to men seeking support.

For this reason we have taken the decision to split our website into two distinct sites – one focussing on the support needs for women and one for the support needs for men.  We are really keen to remove as many barriers to support for men as possible.

We have just relaunched this website to provide the specific space for the women we support and are very close to launching the new website specifically focussed around the support that we provide to men and boys.

In the meantime, it is important to remember that our services are for all victims of domestic abuse and we are there for you if you need our support. Please contact us using any of the methods outlined below to access our support.

What we know is that lots of the fears and experiences of male victims is very similar to those of women and we know all the support, advice and guidance outlined on this website is appropriate for male victims too.

We also welcome calls from mothers, sisters, daughters, brothers, sons, friends, work colleagues seeking information they know or think is a victim. We are here to help.

Our helpline is operated by trained people who can give both listening and practical support as well as providing information.
