If you are an enthusiastic and committed individual who would like to use your skills to help us support some of the most vulnerable people in our community then we would love to hear from you!
Our DART Volunteer Mentor project aims to provide additional support to our clients who have completed a programme of domestic abuse work. They could be living in their own home and have completed the support with one of our Domestic Abuse Practitioners in the community, or they could be one of our clients who have just left our refuge accommodation and are in the process of resettling into their own home.
Not only do you get to provide vital support to people at a time when the really need a warm, friendly, helping hand, but you also get to:
- Have fun and meet new people
- Gain confidence and increase self esteem
- Follow your interests
- Stay active
- Learn and develop new skills
