EViE (Ending Violence in Essex) is an ambitious partnership of three domestic abuse support charities who have each operated in Essex for over forty years. As of 1 April 2019, Next Chapter, SOS Domestic Abuse Projects and Changing Pathways are responsible for the delivery of high risk, community and accommodation based support services for survivors of domestic abuse as part of the recently commissioned Essex Integrated Domestic Abuse Services (EIDAS) contract.
Following this contract award, we have opportunities for highly motivated and empathetic individuals to fulfill roles across Essex supporting survivors of domestic abuse.
As a partnership, our approach to supporting survivors of this devastating crime is holistic; assisting the survivor to address their immediate safety needs whilst setting them on a pathway to recovery from their traumatic experiences; more positive outcomes in their lives and the lives of their children; and a sustained exit from domestic abuse.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are committed to helping survivors to break the cycle of domestic abuse and support their recovery.
We are looking for a positive & committed Recovery Refuge Support Worker to join our newly formed team working in our Recovery Refuge, supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse and have resulting alcohol/substance misuse issues or addiction. We are working in partnership with Open Road, our local drug and alcohol support service to deliver this new and exciting project aimed at delivering services to some of the most vulnerable women fleeing domestic abuse.
